Artist Neil Young who talks about his Pono project through Kickstarter who has raised almost $4 million for this new tech startup.

His current stats so far:

  • $3,960,120 pledged of $800,000 goal
  • 28 days to go

I like the tagline for the company…’Your Soul Rediscovers Music’. If you go to the Kickstarter campaign (link at the bottom) you can see he has aligned with a variety of artists to create pre-sales packages.

I think this is one of the greatest times in all of history. You can learn anything. You can get access to the best minds in any field.

You can instantly download kindle books, get book summaries, join online programs with dozens of hours of video and transcripts.

More and more online summits are offering dozens of hours of ‘free’ interviews if you just provide your email address.

On the other hand, I think many are experiencing what Alan Toffer in his book Future Shock called Infobesity way back in 1970. With recent advances in online publishing and the advancement of digital video technology, it will only continue accelerate in the future.

The Tao of Blogging

There are many approaches to blogging. Blogging can be done for fun, as a calling, for business purposes or because it is something your web person says you MUST do to be successful.

If you are like me, anytime I am forced to do something I must do instead of want to do, these are often the least enjoyable tasks. These musts suck the life out of me and drain my energy.

Over the last five years I have worked with several dozen bloggers and built several high traffic and successful blogs.  I have also seen what does not work.
